Upgrade
your shocks to threaded aluminum or
carbon type if possible. The lightweight
and strong material will help maintain
consistent and easy movement. As well as
the threaded shock helping with quick
and easy adjustments. Some vehicles come
with nice shocks right off the bat , so
you might want to skip this.
-
You will also want to get some nice
shock oil and ask the people at your
track/lhs what kind of oil-weight they
are running.
Get
yourself a nice tuned pipe. Some stock
ones aren't so great. Some are horrible
and restrict horsepower from your
engine. They can also help with gas flow
, by increasing the pressure in the
gas-tank.
2spd
transmission upgrade. With this you will
get quicker acceleration , adjustable
shift-points and a higher top-speed. Most
every RC has a 2spd upgrade or a better
version for the vehicle. There are also
2-3 different styles of 2spd's. Choose the
one that best fits you and your vehicle. -
Also when tuning your 2spd for a track ,
make it so it shifts halfway down the
straightaway.
- We will have a complete review on all
the 2spd types , costs , speeds and
gearing.
Carbon
Fiber / Woven Graphite Upper Deck Upgrade
- Get rid of those plastic upper decks.
And get yourself a pro-style & stiff
deck. Plus woven-fiber looks great. Also
an advantage with this over aluminum is
price , they dont interfere with the radio
as much and it wont bend. Helps keep the
suspension and chassis true.
Probably
the heart of a vehicles chassis. An
super-stiff and thick chassis is sometimes
the key you need to making a winning. Some
vehicles come with an adequately stiff and
well thought out chassis. But With just
about a million variation out there
ranging from aluminum to titanium to
magnesium to carbon-fiber. How can one
resist. The best bet is to stick with a
metal so you can help dissipate heat from
the motor and other parts. Also some want
lightweight , some want more weight. With
less weight lighter material chassis' you
will get better acceleration.....unless
you cant hook-up. Some want more weight
and go with a heavy duty heavy-metal
chassis so the wheels with stick to the
ground better.
