Unique racer with single belt drive!

After more than a year of testing and refinement, Kyosho is ready to unleash its most advanced 4WD touring car ever: the KX-One. It’s pure racing potential on wheels, built around a radically new single-belt drive system that reduces power losses, improves response and increases smooth, controllable power and acceleration anywhere on track.

KX-One 4WD Touring Car

The characteristics of single-belt drive

  • Simplifies car mechanics

  • Reduces sources of power loss

  • Equalizes power delivery to all four wheels

The benefits of single-belt drive

  • Greater dependability

  • Less to maintain

  • Improved overall efficiency

  • More consistent traction

  • More balanced handling

  • Quicker response

  • Explosive acceleration

  • Improved turn recovery

  • Smoother, easier control at any speed.

  • Reduces power losses with large-diameter, 20-tooth driver and 39-tooth diff pulleys and a universal shaft design w/automatic centering adjustment.

  • Balances and distributes the weight of stick or saddle pack batteries.

  • Speeds steering response with a direct servo saver and fine-tuning finesse with a knuckle arm adjustment plate.

  • 2mm carbon ladder-frame chassis design protects the belt, reinforces the main chassis and virtually eliminates chassis roll.

  • Narrow Single Belt 4WD System - a newly developed single belt drive train reduces power loss to the minimum. By making the drive timing identical in both the front and rear, the system equalizes traction on all four tires and produces smooth, responsive handling. Recovery when coming out of turns is also improved, with lighter overall feel to driving. Extremely efficient and durable, the drive belt delivers sharp acceleration and exceptional smoothness both at high speeds and through the entire speed range.

  • Innovative Chassis Layout - In-Line battery, motor and steering servo positioning provide significant improvement on driving performance with the lowest possible center of gravity.

  • Ladder Frame Construction - Constructed by two pcs of 2MM thick carbon Fiber Main Frame, the stiffness of the chassis is increased to the maximum for pitch direction and the construction helps to provide sufficient roll for superb handling.

  • Weight Distribution - The chassis has idealistic weight distribution, Front 45: Rear 55:

  • Improved Steering Response - By positioning the motor more to the rear of the chassis, initial steering response and overall stability are improved dramatically.

  • Newly Developed Constant Velocity Drive Universal Shafts - All four-suspension arms feature a Universal Shaft with automatic center adjustment that transfers power very efficiently. Together with the pin type drive washer, the wheel can be mounted and removed easily.

  • Newly Developed Front One-Way Unit - Supported by Ball Bearings, the newly developed, large diameter Front One-Way Unit is constructed of highly durable A17S Duralumin. It speeds the chassis response and can be installed or removed easily by pulling out the cup joints.

  • Newly Developed Rear Ball Differential - Its dimensions have been adapted from the race proven ball diff featured on the race proven Ultima RB Type R. The lightweight differential cup ring, made of delrin, greatly improves acceleration.

  • Center Drive Pulley and Diff Pulleys - Featuring a large diameter, aluminum center drive pulley (20T) and a narrow light weight front and rear diff pulleys (39T) help to minimize the loss of power transfer.

  • Direct Servo Saver - The steering servo angled installation follows the proven example of 1/10 Scale EP racing cars. A Direct Servo Saver makes steering response sharp and quick. The Servo Saver will also fit Futaba, KO Propo, Sanwa, JR and Hi Tech.

  • Knuckle Arm/Front Hub - Featuring adjustable different thickness of collars, it allows drivers to adjust steering characteristics to different track conditions.

  • Rear Hub Carrier - Made of more durable material, Rear Hub Carrier (with 2 degree toe-in) reduces the weight under load.

  • New Variable Valve Shocks - Featuring a valve on the Shock Piston, the oil filled shocks optimizes oil volume variations during shock compression and rebound. The compression and rebound can be adjusted respectively. It significantly improves the stability of the car.

  • Battery Holder - Any Sub-C 6-Cell battery can be accommodated in regardless of straight pack and saddle pack. The right and left side pods lock and clip to the main chassis and provides enough room for the receiver, ESC, transponder and other electronic equipment

Centerline battery and motor positions distribute weight equally to all 4 wheels. Motor weight has been moved back to improve “first-steer” response and overall stability.
